Creating innovative  ideas to improve the quality of life of the world is the north that has guided many people since the world began. Some because their innate curiosity demands answers explaining their environment and others because they need to “invent” to create a business or to stay within it. The need seems to be the mother of invention, no more no less.

Now a book by Brazilian authors, of early onset and commented upon by the business magazine Epoca, explains that the process of innovation is limited to a pattern.

According to the authors of Innovatrix, Clemente Nobrega and Adriano Lima, our species did not evolve to be more original but having a system to put into our nervous system all the things that could affect the survival of the species.

An example: the atavistic fear of snakes, fire, the elements of nature, created fables type not put your hand in the fire because you’re going to burn, stay away from wild animals because you can eat and watch out for weather because you can wipe.

The authors were motivated to write this book because recent research has uncovered that in the former Soviet Union, many scientists who were dedicated to investigate the mechanisms that the man was to develop an innovation.

One of the most outstanding was a Russian scientist named Genrich Altshuller, who was obsessed from the forties, to discover the operation of innovative minds.

The central axis of Altshuller’s theory is the elimination of technical contradictions, like: I want a faster car but with low fuel consumption. Eliminate the contradiction is the basic principle of innovation and the Russian scientist discovered the principles to follow to remove it.

Innovate is to remove technical contradictions: neither more nor less. On that basis, or based on TRIZ, the authors develop the idea in the book that the key to innovation in business is to remove the contradictions that limit or prevent the generation of new wealth of organizations.

Only just think of any innovations that you know: the personal computer, Cirque do Soleil, the iPod, the low cost airlines, Google. All of them removed a contradiction that was established in the secular way of doing things.

The book explains about the rules governing innovation and gives examples of its application. More interesting, valuable.

Many years ago understood that strategic planning as a road map that companies and institutions could develop and implement rigidly to achieve its vision has been questioned. I remember perfectly well that we did of Henry Mintzberg in his “Rise and Fall of Strategic Planning” (1994) when he explained that it was all a bit trickier to do a SWOT, issue a mission and deployment strategies.

The dialogue with the changing environment going to be a critical variable in strategic planning incorporating new concepts as emerging strategies. It has rained a lot and Mintzberg’s book maintains interest.

Strategic planning continues to be challenged classical and new questions will rain down from three different perspectives: the changing context, the emergence of innovation as a competitive basis and the priority talent.

We’ve all had dreams, and we all know how difficult it is to make dreams reality. It all starts with an idea or several, but if you apply to take the necessary actions to make your ideas, or things you want … happen, then you innovation.

The word innovation is associated with the idea of the new, to do new things. What is new, is something that never existed before, at least not the way it is being presented.

If you are able to cross the threshold that exists between creativity and innovation and get to run your business, or your project or your invention, then, I must congratulate you because you will not be a dreamer, but a builder, a doer dreams.

What is innovation? For practical purposes we will say that innovation is simply taking the best option generated in the creative process and decide firmly to realize our idea, or our dream, overcoming all kinds of obstacle or limitation, making use of our determination to achieve it.

The innovative no longer just a creative entrepreneur to become, at this stage many entrepreneurs “throw in the towel” or make this process very long, so allow time for your competition to get ahead and beat the game.

Yes, do not be such a perfectionist, because if you want to make something perfect, you’re always working on your project and will never view of others.

Why? Because everything we do, can be improved. All human activities can be further improved, and when they are considered a good level of “perfection”, surely we will find that there are other things that can be improved. This road never ends, and this is not bad, is the spirit of continuous improvement, is the essence of development.

To avoid delays, it is very important properly manage our time properly planning all of our activities to make them as soon as possible.

To ensure that nothing we forget, and that all critical aspects of the process of implementing the idea, are taken into account, it must make a plan.

This plan should consider all aspects needed to bring our idea to reality. Go by taking actions that draw you closer to your goal, develop a plan assigning time-bound, describe your goals for each day and check your daily plan.

If you’re working, using your free time in all this, and when your business is run, you’re ready to consider giving up your current job. But never give up if your business is not yet generating sufficient income.

And remember if you do nothing, nothing will happen, you need to make things happen.
